David Madison Cawthorn (born August 1, 1995) represents North Carolina’s 11th congressional district. The first congressman was born in the 1990s and was the third youngest in U.S. history. He’s a Christian conservative.
Cawthorn was Mark Meadows’ staffer before being chosen to replace him in 2020.

Cawthorn wed Cristina Bayardelle, a college student and competitive CrossFit athlete, in an outdoor wedding in April 2021 after a civil ceremony in December 2020. Cawthorn made the announcement that they were divorcing in December 2021.

After fewer than nine months of marriage, Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., and his wife Cristina Cawthorn have decided to divorce.
Cawthorn acknowledged the challenge of juggling personal life with the demands of a life in politics in a statement issued by his office on Wednesday night.
“I wasn’t a member of Congress when Cristina and I were married. We both decided that I should run because I felt compelled to serve. Although our win was extraordinary, our lives altered in an instant. This shift has been chaotic and challenging; it is not the pace or way of life we had anticipated.”
To establish a balance in their life, Cawthorn claimed that he and Cristina “committed to making things work” and “sought counsel,” but it proved to be too challenging.
Together, we saw that striking a compromise was impossible and that there were fundamental disparities between us. “Cristina and I have jointly chosen to divorce, despite the fact that it was a very tough decision.”

In spite of no longer wanting to be in a relationship with the congressman, Cristina Cawthorn said in a statement to local FOX 46 that she still supports him.
“Madison is fantastic, and our journey together has been amazing. Like other marriages, ours has struggled from time to time. It has been challenging to adapt to public life, and many aspects of the change have come as a surprise “In a statement, she stated.
“I don’t want to be married to someone who is changing the world because I want to live in the world he creates. There is no animosity between us despite the fact that we have decided to remain apart for the time being. Madison is a fighter, and he will aid in preserving this nation.”

Seven years to the day following an automobile accident that left Cawthorn paraplegic from the waist down, the couple wed in a ceremony on April 3 of this year.
The lawmaker had already been accused of sexual misconduct during his undergraduate years, but additional accusations of it surfaced a month earlier. He was accused by several ladies of inviting them on “fun drives” where he would make advances.
In response, Cawthorn asserted that he had “never done anything sexually wrong in my life” and refuted the accusations.
