God of War Ragnarok’s gameplay trailer was shown for the first time at the PlayStation Showcase on September 9. This caused a lot of buzz. The story follows Kratos and Atreus as they fight their way through the Nine Realms to find out what Loki is like and try to stop the end of the world, called Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok will have a cast as big as the Nine Realms. Many of the characters will be familiar to fans of the series, and others are important to the Norse mythology story of Ragnarok.
Several important figures from Norse mythology show up in God of War, which came out in 2018, and many of them will be back in God of War Ragnarok. After destroying the Greek gods, Kratos now lives in the Norse realms.
He returns with Atreus, who turns out to be Loki, the Norse god of mischief and the one who caused Ragnarok. In the latest trailer, you could see Freya, Baldur, Mimir, and even Thor for a short time.

Most of these characters want to stop Ragnarok, but they are at odds with each other, which could play a role in the inevitable destruction of God of War Ragnarok.
The gameplay trailer for God of War Ragnarok showed Kratos, Atreus, and the Norse god of war Tr, among other characters and beasts that will be important to the story. Then, Santa Monica Studios’ Twitter page posted a bunch of character art, which helped confirm some characters who weren’t shown in the trailer.
Even though there are still some questions about the cast, like who will play Jormungandr, the giant snake who is an important part of Ragnarok mythology and a character in God of War, here is a list of everyone who has been confirmed to be in God of War: Ragnarok.
Milana Vayntrub as Lunda in God of War Ragnarok
In God of War Ragnarok, Lunda is a dwarven woman who works as a blacksmith. Players will meet her when they go to Sindri and Brok’s workshop.
In the game’s story, Lunda is a Vanir who is part of Freya’s resistance. He has the same skills as the Huldra Brothers. After Brok dies, Lunda, who was a close friend of his, takes over his workshop.
She plays a charming dwarf woman who is very honest about how she feels and doesn’t mind flirting at all.

Even though Vayntrub’s portrayal of Lunda’s positive personality has beewell-receiveded by gamers, there’s so much more to learn about her than just her voice acting.
Main Characters in God of War: Ragnarok
Angrboa (also spelled Angrboda) is an important part of the Ragnarok myth because she was Loki’s wife and gave birth to Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel, the goddess of death. At the end of the God of War Ragnarok trailer, Angrboda is shown for the first time.
She is a lot younger than her Norse equivalent, just like Atreus, so her role in the event might change. No matter what, she will have a big effect on Atreus in God of War: Ragnarok.
Several of the characters in God of War: Ragnarohasve have been confirmed not by the trailer, but by what the actors have said about their roles on Twitter.
This group includes Skjoldr, one of the first Danish kings who also appears in Beowulf, Skuld, who in Norse mythology represents the fates, Beyla, who is known for having a conversation with Loki, Hrist, who seems to be one of the Valkyries, and Durlin, who looks like a dwarf with an octopus friend.

Durlin looks like some kind of merchant or scholar, but it’s not clear yet how the rest of the characters will fit into the God of War Ragnarok story.
God of War Ragnarok: Characters Who Are Back
Mimir is one of the most famous characters in God of War. His head, which hangs from Kratos’ belt and prays that the Ghost of Sparta doesn’t pass gas, is the easiest way trecognizese him.
In Norse mythology, Mimir is the god of wisdom. In the games, he doesn’t have that role, but he does give Kratos and Atreus advice and show them the way.
Mimir calls Kratos out for his grumpy face in the God of War Ragnarok trailer, but the rest of the time he is just hanging on Kratos’ belt like always.
In God of War, Brok and Sindri are merchants who help Kratos and Atreus improve their weapons and armour.
Both were shown briefly in the trailer for God of War: Ragnarok, which suggests that they will play similar roles in the new game. Brok even says something about how much Atreus has grown, which shows that both in-game and real-world years have passed.
Ratatoskr is the last returning character in God of War: Ragnarok. He is a ghostly squirrel that Atreus can call to help Kratos get helpful stones.
In Norse mythology, Ratatoskr is a messenger who runs between the eagles at the top of Yggdrasil, the world tree, and the snake who lives at the bottom. Even though the squirrel is likely to play the same role as in the first game, it will be interesting to see how his role grows in God of War: Ragnarok.
