17-year-old loses her life and 3 others seriously injured in King Park Car Crash

A 17-year-old girl lost her life in a car accident on Wednesday in Long Island. Her friends, however, survived the fatalities. Isabella Carella, a student of Kings Park from Smithtown, was in the front seat next to the driver and died on impact; the four teenagers were riding the car with its top-down along Indian Head Road at 3:45 p.m on Wednesday, 17-year-old Dominic Crocitto was operating the steering wheel of the Mustang convertible.

The car collided with a Jeep near Carlton Road. To prevent slamming into another car, the driver lost control, and the 2008 Mustang was found flipped into the back lawn of a home; three other passengers, all 17 and 18-year-olds, were found severely injured, and one passenger was not wearing a seat belt, their medical treatments are going on. Suffolk County police have communicated that the 19-year-old girl steering the Jeep Wrangler that got smashed braved abrasions and afflictions that didn’t pose any threat to her life. She was also rushed to a hospital and will experience the restoration of her health soon.

A video clip from the accident spot displayed the Jeep’s frontal portion shattered, and most of the vehicle’s body was visibly damaged.

The police department has conveyed that their investigation is underway. However, they do not sense any criminal activity.

Det. Lt. Michael Crowley said, “The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be distraction on the part of the operator of the Mustang, but we have no indication speed was a factor at this time,”
