England Holmes a mystery film that came out first in September 23, 2020, based on The Enola Holmes Mystery: The case of Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer turned out to be a major hit obtained rave reviews with a 91% critic rating & a 70% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes The film from the Sherlock Holmes Universe is now awaiting a sequel, and here’s all we know about it.
Overview & Plotline
In the prominent Sherlock Holmes family, Enola Holmes is a bright teenager being the youngest sibling. On her 16th birthday, Enola discovers that her mother is missing & has no clue about where she is.
She goes to London in the quest to find her mother. Incrypted messages are purposely left behind by her mother in the flower card that guide her to the hidden money, which is utilized by Enola to flee, camouflaged as a boy. She discovers the young Viscount Tewkesbury during her train journey hidden in a travel bag.The story eventually becomes gripping & action-packed, as she comes across a runaway lord & they try to solve a mystery together that can prove to be threatening for the entire country.
Cast
The sequel will see familiar characters return in the form of Henry Cavill & Millie Bobby Brown along with Susan Wokoma as Edith, and Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Adeel Akhtar as Lestrade. The newly additions to the cast include: David Thewlis, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Hannah Dodd, AbbieHern, Gabriel Tierney , and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss.
Release Date
Shooting for the sequel got wrapped up in January 2022, as it had begun in October 2021.
When an announcement regarding the film was made in May 2021, it was already repealed that Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill will play Enola and Sherlock Holmes, respectively.
As of now there is no official release date fixed for the film, no hints or clues have been dropped by any of the cast or crew member with respect to the date, but according to our predictions it can release in Autumn 2022, as per our calculations the film may require atleast six months for post production & editing. As soon as we get information about the release date we will surely be notifying you.
Trailer
Since the film is still in the preparation process there is no trailer made, fans are eagerly anticipating the trailer but so far we don’t have any clue about when the trailer might be coming out. Netflix as of now has only given us the first look footage of the film, and that’s all. The clip showcased, Louis Partridge finishing his scene the cast & crew marking that with applause & someone saying “That’s a wrap for Louis”. What to expect?
As the first part of the franchise was based on Nancy Springer’s book series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries, the upcoming sequel will adapt the second book – The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. The 16-year-old Enola Holmes has now become a detective & she embarks upon her first ever job which involves locating & finding a missing girl, which will take her close to danger & the unknown requiring the assistance if friends & Sherlock himself.
