Lil Durk is an American rapper and singer; his real name is Durk Derrick Banks; he was born on the 19th of October 19 1992, in Chicago. His father’s name is Dontay Banks; his mother’s name is unknown. He had to take the burden of household and financial responsibilities at a very young age as his father was imprisoned when he was only 7 years old.
In the nascent stages of his career, Lil Durk was attached to the Glo Gang label promulgated by Chief Keef. But he was never officially signed into the brand and hence wasn’t a part of which led him to make his name on his own in the music industry.
Post the success of his first two singles, Lil Durk came out with a mixtape titled ‘Life Ain’t No Joke.’ This mixtape was downloaded 216,000 times on the online mixtape dissemination platform DatPiff. Social media platforms densely supported the publicity and familiarization of ‘Life Ain’t No Joke.’
The year 2015 marked was a landmark year in his career as it brought about the release of his first album titled ‘Remember My Name.’ The songs in the album talk about the street violence and assaults he witnessed and experienced as a child in Chicago. The album became a smashing hit and secured the fourteen position on the Billboard 200 list.

It is commonly known as OTF and is a rap collective founded by Lil Durk in 2014. Most of its members consist of the Black Disciples street gang and are abode to many recording artists like THF Zoo, Boona, Lil Mexico, Booka600 mong many others.
The label was part of French Montana’s Coke Boys and had OTF Coke Boys. The OTF members were then included in the Coke Boys album.
OTF is at present signed to Alamo Records and Interscope Records.
