World on Fire is the BBC’s newest show about World War II. It is a drama, but it is about the war. The first season of the show came out on September 29 and was over in November 2019. After that, as usual, the fans wanted to know what would happen to the show next. So, we’re here to give you more information about the coming season!
World on Fire About
World on Fire is a heart-stopping, complex drama that tells the story of World War II through the lives of ordinary people on both sides of the conflict. The first set of seven episodes tells the story of the first year of the war, from September 1939, when the Germans invaded Poland, to the Battle of Britain, which ended the war.

Lois, a talented singer and factory worker from Manchester, will be played by Julia Brown again. Kasia, a brave Polish freedom fighter, will be played by Zofia Wichlacz.
Blake Harrison is back as Harry’s platoon sergeant Stan Raddings, Eugénie Derouand is back as Henriette, a Jewish nurse in Nazi Paris, Eryk Biedunkiewicz is back as Kasia’s youngest brother Jan, and Cel Spellman (Cold Feet) will play Joe, a member of Harry’s platoon, again.

At this point, it’s not clear if Sean Bean will return as pacifist World War I vet Douglas Bennett or if Doctor Who star Arthur Darvill will return as RAF pilot Vernon Hunter. The BBC says it will announce more new and returning cast members when the time is right, so we’ll keep you informed.
World on Fire Season 2 Plot
In Season 2, Kasia and Lois will meet, and I think the results will be interesting and fascinating for everyone.
In terms of history, Season 2 will start with the blitz in the Northwest of England. And North Africa will be a very important place to fight. More information will be given about Webster’s family.
Near the beginning of the series, Nancy will finally have to leave Berlin because she crossed a line, and we will also learn more about her. She will not stop. She will spend at least some of the time in the Soviet Union.

Recap of Season 1 of World on Fire
In 1939, World on Fire began. At the same time that the Germans want to take over all of Europe, translator Harry Chase wants to help his girlfriend Kasia escape from Poland. Harry has another woman in his life, too.
Her name is Lois, and she lives in England. Nancy is a reporter who is stuck on the German side of the country. She watches as the Nazis easily cross into Poland from the other side of the country. Now, we meet Webster O’Connor in France. He is a gay surgeon who sees how the war still haunts his country.
Later, when the Germans easily take over Poland, Kasia wants to run away with her mother, but they run into some German soldiers who stop them. In the meantime, Harry gets back to England and sees his girlfriend Lois.
And right before he tells her he’s been cheating on her, Lois tells him how much he loves him. Harry then goes to London, where his mistake in Poland costs him his job. Lastly, Nancy’s work as a journalist in Germany is hard because she is always being told what she can and can’t say.
