It is too soon to detect or forecast what season 5 will be based upon and what incidents & potlucks will occupy center stage. Still, as far as it can be foretold, season 5 is likely to deal with the follow-up events of June’s decisions and deeds and how they will impact her and her husband and their relationship. It can also touch upon her dynamic and the effects of her choices on her best friend’s life.

Hulu hasn’t put out a conformed date; the show was renewed for a fifth season in December 2020; tracing recent updates, the Handmaid’s Tale season 5 began filming in February 2022, so the season 5 will not see a release indeed up till 2023.

Number of Episodes
There hasn’t been any announcement about the number of episodes season 5 will have. The show’s first season consisted of 13 episodes, and seasons 2, 3 & 4 had ten episodes, so season 5 is likely to be composed of 10 or more attacks; there is no official confirmation yet.
What to Expect?
We can expect significant changes, like June leaving her home in Canada, dealing with Fred’s end, keeping her daughter Hannah safe and sound while gathering more strength & courage to fight against the Gilead regime, saving Janine & exacting cruel revenge on Serena.
Cast
Most cast members are expected to reprise their roles except Alexis Bledel as Emily. The show will have Elizabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, Madelin Brewer, and Sydney Sweeney.

The series will release on Hulu, and it is expected to come out in early 2023.
