Alum of “general Hospital” Steve Burton Files for Divorce from His Pregnant Wife Sheree Burton, Claiming He Isn’t the Child’s Father.

It’s a fact now. Only two months after claiming Sheree Burton is expecting his child with another guy, General Hospital veteran Steve Burton filed for divorce from her.

In Orange County, California, on Friday, July 8, the 52-year-old soap actress filed divorce papers, alleging “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the breakup. According to paperwork acquired by Us Weekly, the actor placed the couple’s first separation date as March 1.

Nearly six months have passed since Steve was fired from General Hospital for failing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as required by the show. This announcement from Steve is in response to that firing.

The General Hospital vaccine requirement, which was in effect at the time of his departure and applies to all cast members and crew members who were present on set when the actors aren’t wearing masks, had been in effect since Nov. 1.

Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, a Days of Our Lives spinoff from Peacock, is in its second season, and Steve is a character there. He is playing Harris Michaels, a character he played on Days of Our Lives from 1988 to the present.
