The Brahmastra trailer has been released today; it was everything we were told it would be. It is a one-of-a-kind film based on Hindu mythology, the critical weapons (Astras), and revolves around those whose purpose is to protect and shield these potent astras. The film has Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mount Roy in lead roles. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the film will be released on 9th September 2022, in theaters.
After a series of teasers and motion posters, the full-length trailer for Brahmastra is here. The trailer starts with Amitabh Bachchan’s voice-over, where he narrates three elements – water, wind, and fire, some energies that have been with us since the ancient times and have been harnessed into astras; with this began the unraveling of a spectacle, serene, powerful and impactful use of VFX, beautiful locations and colors, the introduction of characters and the soulful voice of Arijit Singh in the background score. The film seems to have hit the nail with many components, from visuals to dialogues, to background score to the storyline.
Ranbir Kapoor is shown to play the role of a young DJ Shiva, who is yet to discover his powers and his connection to the world of Astras, there’s one scene in the trailer where his hand’s caught on fire, but it doesn’t harm or burn him, which leads us to find out that he has the power of fire. Alia Bhatt plays his love interest Isha; Mount Roy plays Junoon, the Queen of Darkness, who is determined to gain control over the most powerful weapon, Brahmastra. Nagarjuna Akkineni portrays the character of Anish, with Nandi Astra, who happens to be an artist, and Amitabh Bachchan in the film is Guru in possession of the Prabhastra, who helps Shiva to understand and use his powers.
The cast includes Shahrukh Khan, who is set to make a cameo and plays a scientist in the film; it is rumored that Junoon (Mount Roy’s character) seizes his powers. Actors like Dimple Kapadia, Divyendu Sharma, Dhruv Sehgal, and Saurav Gurjar are also cast members. With a budget of Rs. 300 crores, the film is being distributed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada by ace filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli.
Through a short video uploaded on Instagram, director Ayan Mukherjee informed the audience that superstar Chiranjeevi is lending his voice to the Telugu dubbed version of Brahmastra. It has been creating a lot of buzz since its teaser launch event was held in Vizag and was helmed by S.S. Rajamouli. The firm can make history with its reach and its compelling, original storyline. It became the first-ever Hindi film to have gained a place in Disney’s global theatrical release slate. It has been in the making for more than five years and has the potential to represent us on the worldwide map. There is still a considerable amount of time to its release, but it has gathered the attention and interest of many.
