Jennifer Lopez’s Two Wedding Dresses for Her Las Vegas Wedding to Ben Affleck – She Changed in The Chapel!

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck each shopped in their own closets for their Saturday Las Vegas wedding. Lopez had two dresses available for the intimate occasion, the first of which was an heirloom that held sentimental value for the bride.

“I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I’ve been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day,” Lopez confessed as she displayed the traditional, boatneck design in an emotional video posted Sunday in her On the JLo newsletter announcing the couple’s engagement.

Chris Appleton, her hairstylist, also posted the video to Instagram with the caption “Last minute feelings before the wedding.”

Lopez changed into a high-fashion, stop-and-stare Zuhair Murad wedding gown at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Lopez donned a white lace, off-the-shoulder gown with long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, corset bodice, and fishtail train for their wedding vows. She completed her ensemble with a veil with lace trim to match her gown.

Jennifer Lopez sported her typical bronzy glow, a soft smokey eye, and a peach-nude lip, which she matched with voluminous, bouncy curls. The renowned actress donned a Zuhair Murad Bridal Couture gown in her most recent romantic comedy, Marry Me, and frequently chooses the Lebanese fashion designer for her red carpet attire.

Affleck wore a tuxedo jacket from his closet that was white.

“We read our own vows in the modest church and exchanged the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our life,” Lopez wrote in her On the JLo newsletter, adding, “They even had Bluetooth for a (short) procession down the aisle. In the end, though, it was the most ideal wedding we could have imagined. In the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible, and each other finally became a reality after a very, very long time.”

Lopez and Affleck began dating in July 2002 and became engaged in November of that year. They ultimately separated after postponing their September 2003 wedding only days prior to the ceremony.

Affleck subsequently married actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he had three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. In 2004, Lopez married Grammy winner Marc Anthony. The ex-spouses are the parents of Max and Emme, 14-year-old twins.

Lopez and Affleck resumed their relationship in 2021. Lopez told PEOPLE earlier this year about the couple’s second attempt at love, “We’re older now, we’re wiser, we have more experience, we’re in different areas, we have children, and we have to be very mindful of these things.

” It’s a lovely outcome that this has occurred in this manner at this point in our lives when we can truly appreciate, celebrate, and respect one another. Affleck proposed to Lopez in April of last year with a stunning green diamond ring, a hue that is extremely meaningful to her.

She commented at the time, “I always think that green is my lucky color.” “I’ve discovered there were numerous times in my life when I was wearing green and extraordinary things occurred.”

In Sunday’s email, Lopez also discussed the couple’s second chance at love and what it meant to them. “We did it. Love is gorgeous. Love is nice. And indeed, love proves to be patient. Twenty years of patience,” she remarked, adding, “it was the greatest night of our lives.”

After the wedding, Lopez posted a makeup-free photo from her bed on Instagram, expressing her post-wedding happiness. Her exquisite wedding band was also prominently displayed.

“Sadie! #iykyk Go to OnTheJLo for all the details,” she captioned the shot, referencing “Sadie, Sadie” from Funny Girl “lyric content. (“I’m Sadie, Sadie, a married woman,” Fanny Brice sings in the musical.)
