William Ray Guy, a former punter for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, was born on December 22, 1949. He was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 1973 NFL Draft, making him the only pure punter ever to do so. He was a product of the University of Southern Mississippi.
