The San Diego Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr. Has Apologised for His Positive Drug Test

Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres spoke to the media for the first time since his 80-game suspension on Tuesday. The shortstop will miss the remainder of the regular season and the postseason after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance earlier this month.

Tatis Jr. expressed regret for his errors and acceptance of culpability for his deeds, lamenting the fact that his fantasies had become his greatest nightmares. In the last two weeks, this month, or even at the beginning of the year, I haven’t made the best decisions. I erred, and I regret each and every action I have committed. Really, I’m sorry. I’ve disappointed so many people.

I’ve suffered such a loss of love from others. I am a failure. I’m going to keep in mind how this makes me feel, and I won’t ever put myself in a similar circumstance again. I am aware that I need to recover a lot of love. It will take a very long time because I have a lot of work to complete. I’m growing and learning.
